Leslie GarlenAuthor's Foreword:If you haven't read Mac Vorennin yet, you gotta do it. It's not necessary to enjoy this sequel, but it is a great read and only ten-thousand words long. You could read it in half and hour, at least. The Vorennin stories are some of my more favorite works, and probably even more favorite than my mainstream fantasy. The characters are relatable, in my opinion, and the story reads like Ender's Game... which was what gave me a lot of inspiration for this story in the first place. I don't know of a lot of people who read Ender's Game and didn't like it.PrologueMaccabre Vorennin looked out into the Niflheim Nebula, but didn't seeLeslie Garlen

The ChasmI stand on the bridge. It spans for infinity in both directions, and it is built over a chasm deeper than deep and expands in all directions to reaches my eyes cannot gauge. No matter how long I walk, I cannot reach an end to either side of the bridge. Time has stood still, and I can spend an eternity walking either way.The Chasm
But since time stands, it was hardly a minute ago when the world I loved died with me.
Now, once again, I face the challenge of the bridge. I've had countless years to ponder its allegory, and I've concluded everything the bridge is supposed to mean to me.

You Stole My LightI can't see you anymore Because when you left you took the light So maybe that's why I'm blind I hope you can still see, thoughYou Stole My Light
You are selfish with yourself Give nothing, take nothing No one gets inside, right? That's how it goes?
Or maybe you can justify it. If nobody gets in, they can't hurt, Or be hurt. A great way to protect, A better way to slay.
And me? I give, and give And give and give myself And you turned me away Nobody else did, you just don't like it
Who are you really waiting for? Certainly not me; I'

Mac Vorennin FINISHEDPart 1 HackedMac Vorennin FINISHED
To say that Maccabre-- Mac, as he liked it-- Vorennin was the type of guy who could, when given an inch, take a mile was inaccurate. To say he "takes" a mile would imply he took it; Mac stretched an inch a mile long.
Mac Vorennin, son of the well-known Terisha Vorennin, was only nine years old when he organized a self-sustaining infrastructure within his school's playground, which he presided over, and he was given respect for that from his peers. The Big Bads, the bullies, were broken easily, and they hated Mac Vorennin for his cunning and intelligence but still accepted his payment which for the

You probably know that I'm in Muncie these days, right?

"How do we figure out what is until we determine what isn't?"
Dunno... Sounds like one of his thought processes. I'll use it for Necro to say someday.

It's not a dead-stop, believe me. I'm looking into Ivy Tech, and plan to set the wheels in motion next summer semester so that I might be in next fall.
I have one big thing kinda goin' for me, but I didn't want to say anything until it was sure. It probably still isn't, but I think that my mom and aunt will be moving to the country, and I'll be renting the house. On my own. Sweeeet!
...But how do I have a housewarming party when I've already been living here for five years?

Next time I'm home for the weekend I am so going to come to Wal-Mart to pester you all night. ;D
Oh man, that'd be so cool if you got the house all to yourself. What would you do with such great power? (have sexy parties, hopefully...?) You'd definitely fare quite beautifully as an indepentent man. ;D Then you could be all "Ohoho, I'm such a suave bachelor~"
And if you want to have a house party obviously you just need to serve ~special punch~ and make people buy you food processors 'n' junk.
Hope everything works out in your favour, man, I really do. You're one of the most intelligent people I know and, believe you me, I will personally come bust a cap in yo' ass if you don't make use of your mad brain skillz. ;D
Haha, sorry to be such a mom about it. I'm serious, though.
ALSO ALSO
Would you be interested in a typewriter? It's a more modern one; I think you can plug it into an electrical outlet, but I'd have to check. It comes in a pleasantly mysterious black case and everything. Let me know if you want it; it can be yours for the low, low price of your undying love to me~ ;D

Oooh, typewriter. And the price is affordable, too, since I'm a compassionate kinda guy.
What I always found funny about typewriters are that they have backspace keys. Think about it.
I'd have the typewriter if you'd part with it. It's better than paying ten cents a page at the library for print-outs. I'm not sure where I'd put it for now, though. If I do indeed come into land as I doubtfully expect (though with recent news it is a hesitant nod) I'll greatfully accept it as a housewarming gift. Until then, I say keep it in self-storage. I do want it, though, if I don't sound too ambitious.
If I might steal a bit from the Writer's Almanac, "live well, do good work and keep in touch."
